Aero Services has a rich history in taking the bespoke needs/ideas of our customers and developing practical solutions for them. We have designed components and systems for a wide range of industries and various operating conditions. We pride ourselves in taking a pragmatic, manufacturing orientated, attitude to design. Our design approach also keeps in mind the tough operating and economic environments faced in Africa. Designers and engineers are encouraged to make use of our in-house processes as well as locally available raw materials and capabilities. All designs and drawings are developed using the latest SolidWorks design and analysis packages.


We have both post graduate and graduate engineers on the team along with professional draftsmen and designers. We can provide stress analysis using our Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or Finite Element Modelling (FEM) software coupled with classical hand calculations to ensure your design will function as intended. Due the nature of the industries we are in we are often called on to static test our units in order to validate the FEA and hand calculations. We also design the static test procedure, build the test jig, conduct the actual test in house and produce the report.

Reverse Engineering

A strong part of our design and engineering is our reverse engineering capability. We use our 6-axis Romer arm (which plugs directly into SolidWorks) to reverse engineer components and to model interfaces, such as: fuselages, seat track positions, mounting hole positions, envelope constraints or your component etc. This helps to provide a higher level of confidence that the components we produce correctly fit into the larger system they are forming a part of.
